Melanie qualified from King’s College, London in 2004 with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree.
She completed her core NHS rotations at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals where she discovered that her passion was in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She then worked as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist for the NHS in Glasgow and then in Portsmouth and then spent several years working for the MOD at HMS Collingwood.
Melanie is very proud to have completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, with a merit, from Cardiff Metropolitan University, especially since she had two children in the middle of undertaking it! The skills she learned from her MSc and the many postgraduate courses she has undertaken, allow Melanie to provide a very high standard of care for her patients.
Melanie is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and enjoys seeing the benefits of acupuncture with her patients. She is also an APPI certified Pilates Instructor.
Melanie moved to Thornbury in 2018 having spent the previous 3 years living in Paris with her family. In her spare time she enjoys running and completed the Paris Marathon in 2018.
