Mummy MOT’s

What is a Mummy MOT?

A Mummy MOT is a specialist post-natal checkup by a physiotherapist from 6 weeks after the birth of your baby. Mummy MOT’s are for any one who has delivered a baby, whether vaginally or through c-section. This could be from 6 weeks post birth but could also be two years ago!

Why would I need a Mummy MOT?

During pregnancy and delivery, your body goes through a lot of changes and pressures. The Mummy MOT is a detailed and comprehensive review of your posture and function, abdomen, pelvic floor and review of any wounds or trauma that could have happened during the delivery stage. Helen provides advice in relation to function and movement  as well as a bespoke exercise programme for you to carry out after your appointment.

There are other benefits of a Mummy MOT which can assist you with managing c-section or perineal scar postnatally. Helen will provide advice and treatment for this. New aches and pains can be frustrating, taking care of your baby can be a demanding time for your body. You may wish to have treatment to help reduce and remedy your postnatal symptoms.
